About

Who am I?

My name is unimportant. What is important is that I use this blog to write about Video Games. Video Games are important, not only financially, as it has become one of the biggest modern industries in the known world, but also culturally, intellectually, and philosophically, as it is quickly becoming the premier mode of entertainment and idea transmission in the modern world. Video Games are "it".

And they're fun and nobody doesn't like being able to live out fantasies of both ultrakindness and ultraviolence in their lives once in awhile. Video Games!

also, my name is Tim.

What do I do?

I like writing, so I write. I also write in a very organized way (although it may not seem like it, but stick around long enough and you'll see the pattern). To that end I have a number of features I like to do on a weekly basis, and other things that I do on a more or less irregular basis. After all, moderation in all things, moderation itself included. People seem to forget that so often.

I also have a day job in which I work in a research laboratory doing Basic Biomedical Research on Keloids (exuberant, expanding, tumor-like scars), which means that I enjoy science and biology, and I enjoy thinking and talking about systems and complex ideas. There are a lot of times where I apply the kind of thinking I do at work to the way that I write things on the blog. Everything is connected. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I also post short stories and other creative writings on my other blog, here.

OKAY shut up stop talking I don't have that much free time. How do I get what I want from you

okay wow, RUDE.

The best way to get what you want is by emailing me at the link provided under the header of the blog. I run contests, in which I give out free games, once in awhile, usually coupled with a review. If you're a writer or a developer and are looking to reach the few people who read this blog (thanks guys!), send me an email and we can talk. I love reviewing any type of game, but so far my focus (and my budget) has been on lower-budget, indie-type games. I can promise to give you a fair assessment of your game and use all my wit and ways to provide an accurate picture of your design and execution in a concise and easy-to-read manner. It also doesn't hurt that I apparently have a decent sense of humor.

I also have a Facebook page and a Google+ account, both of which I check regularly.
